Together

The Brief

“Together” is a charity supporting 3500 people through 200 mental health services nationwide. Together required Baigent to take their website design and develop a combined website and intranet. The principle objective was to enable staff to share documents and information more cost-effectively and efficiently, whilst also building community between Together’s UK locations.

Our Approach

Baigent’s first step was to apply the pre-determined design (originating from Together’s new branding) to both website and intranet. Once the new look was in place Baigent developed the Intranet as part of the website framework.

Baigent worked closely with Together to ensure the intranet structure and features delivered their requirements, namely:

  • Access to staff manuals, policies and documents
  • Together People: Online directory of staff - search by name, location, expertise or responsibility
  • Together chat: message boards to encourage community nationwide and facilitate sharing of information. Organised by topic, these include Ask the Chief Exec, Ideas Swap Shop and For Sale.
  • Marketing Together: staff’s online ordering service for all publications.

Quick and easy to access, members of staff log in to the intranet from the website through their username and password.

The Results

Together have substantially reduced the outlay previously spent on printing and copying information for circulation. Staff within the organisation have embraced the opportunity their intranet provides to share and access expertise with colleagues across the UK.

"Our intranet is proving invaluable - staff in our 200 UK services can now easily access all the information available to them – and get hold of each other too. It’s saving us both time and money – great!"

Mary Richardson, Head of Communications and Marketing, Together

Together

For Together, Baigent created a user friendly, integrated intranet to save the organisation time and money through online sharing of information. An additional, important benefit is its role in developing community across the charity's 200 UK sites.
